AI-Assisted WordPress Websites

AI-Assisted WordPress Websites

Build a sharper WordPress website without dragging the process out for months.

I combine WordPress, custom code and AI-assisted development to create focused websites that are clear, fast to iterate and built around what the business actually needs.

A more practical way to build

A business website should not become a six-month design project.

The goal is a strong, useful website that can go live, do its job and keep improving.

Many websites get stuck in endless rounds of layouts, copy changes, plugins and decisions that do not materially improve the result.

I use AI as part of the development process to move faster through structure, copy exploration, prototyping and technical implementation while keeping the final decisions human and practical.

What I build

WordPress websites with a clear job to do.

The exact structure depends on the business, but the focus stays the same: clarity, usability and a strong path for the visitor.

01

Service websites

Clear positioning, services, proof and conversion paths for independent businesses.

02

Portfolio websites

Show real work, capabilities and project examples without relying on vague claims.

03

Landing pages

Focused pages for a single offer, lead magnet, campaign or product.

04

Product pages

Explain what a digital product or application does and guide people toward the next step.

05

Content-led websites

Structured sites for publishing, education, resources or authority-building.

06

Custom interactive pages

Add walkthroughs, calculators, interactive sections or custom functionality where a normal page is not enough.

AI-assisted, not AI-delegated

AI speeds up the work. It does not decide what the website should become.

I use AI where it genuinely helps the build move faster, while the structure, positioning and final experience stay intentional.

01 Structure

Explore page architecture and information hierarchy quickly.

02 Copy iteration

Test different ways to explain an offer before choosing what feels right.

03 Custom code

Build tailored sections and interactions without relying on another plugin for everything.

04 QA & refinement

Speed up troubleshooting, testing and responsive adjustments.

How the process works

Start with the message and user journey before decorating the page.

01

Clarify

Define the audience, purpose and most important action.

02

Structure

Build the page hierarchy and decide what information belongs where.

03

Design

Turn the structure into a clean visual system that supports the message.

04

Build

Implement the site in WordPress using the right mix of blocks and custom code.

05

Refine

Test desktop, tablet and mobile and fix the details that affect usability.

From idea to working application

Clear structure. Useful first version.

More than page-builder blocks

Custom code gives the site room to behave like your site.

WordPress is the platform, not the constraint. When a normal block is enough, I use it. When a page needs something more tailored, I can build that directly.

That can mean custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript for layouts, walkthroughs, interactive sections or other functionality that would otherwise require another plugin.

Built in practice

This website is part of the portfolio too.

HannekeVerhoef.com was rebuilt around the same approach I use for client work: clear positioning, focused service pages, custom WordPress sections and interactive product walkthroughs.

Instead of using a large page-builder stack, the site combines WordPress, Kadence and custom-coded sections where that gives better control.

AI APPLICATION BUILDER Turn your idea into a working application.

Focused MVPs, AI tools and client portals.

Depending on the project

A WordPress build can include:

Custom layouts Responsive design Service pages Landing pages Portfolio sections Contact forms CRM connections Custom HTML Custom CSS JavaScript interactions Interactive walkthroughs Lead capture SEO structure Analytics setup Performance cleanup
A good fit

You want a professional site without turning the website itself into a giant project.

You know what your business does but the current website does not explain it clearly.
You want WordPress because you want control over your own site.
You need more flexibility than a template gives you.
You want to launch a focused version first and improve it over time.
You prefer a practical build process over endless design rounds.
Project-based website builds

The scope is based on what the site needs to accomplish.

We agree on the pages, functionality and first launch version before the build starts. That keeps the project clear and prevents the site from quietly turning into something much larger.

Defined page scope We know what needs to be built before development begins.
Focused functionality Plugins and custom code are chosen around a real need.
Room to improve The site can grow after the first version is live.
Build the useful website first

Your website should make the business easier to understand, not make the build harder than it needs to be.
